Motobike tour

Hue to Sapa

This is the tour of all tours, especially for those who like to get off the beaten track, and there is simply no better way to experience the stunning scenery and hill tribe villages of the Tonkinese Alps than from the back of a motorcycle.

DAY 1: Hue to DMZ to Cua Tung Beach
Following highway 1 we will stop at some of the most famous sights of the DMZ (see the 3 Day Trip Hue to Hoi An via DMZ for more details) and follow the coastline to Cua Tung Beach where we will stay the night.

DAY 2: Cua Tung Beach to Phong Nha Caves
Leaving the coastline we head to the Phong Nha Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The cave is 7729 m long and contains 14 grottos, with a 13,969 m-long underground river. We will spend the day exploring the cave systems by boat.

DAY 3: Phong Nha Caves to Tan Ky
A day spent travelling through the lush countryside where you will see tea plantations, traditional villages and rice paddies on the way to Tan Ky. Close to Tan Ky and worth a visit are the Cham towers of Chien Dan. Set in a pleasant rural setting, few tourists venture here and chances are you'll be left alone to explore the three towers and small sculpture museum.

DAY 4: Tan Ky to Cuc Phong National Park:
This park is the oldest national park in Vietnam and is set in a vast expanse of wilderness. It boasts spectacular scenery and an abundance of wildlife including some of Vietnam’s most endangered species. It is also supports a primate rescue and rehabilitation center which is open to visitors.

DAY 5: Cuc Phuong National Park to Mai Chau
The road today will take you through spectacular karst mountain scenery and through villages of hill tribe minorities. The minority villages of the Mai Chau valley are inhabited mostly by the White Quynh people. Here you can see traditional stilt houses and local markets. We will spend the night in a stilted guesthouse and during the evening you can see a show of traditional Thai music and dance.

DAY 6: Mai Chau to Son La

DAY 7: Son La to Dien Bien Phu

DAY 8: Dien Bien Phu to Sapa
